ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji sastra lisan Aceh ragam prosa di Kabupaten Utara. menarik dilakukan karena (1) belum inventarisasi Utara; (2) ambang kepunahan. Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan Pendekatan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis berupa deskriptif. Lokasi Utara, yaitu Kecamatan Dewantara, Matangkuli, Muara Batu, Nisam, Nisam Antara, Paya Bakong, Samudera, Tanah Jambo Aye, Baktya, Syamtalira Aron, Meurah Mulia, Pasir, Lhoksukon. Data Sumber data masyarakat Utara ditentukan teknik sampling snowball . dikumpulkan observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil ialah hanyalah legenda, Mon Seuribèe, Raja Bakôy, Terbang, Jeurat Manyang, Trieng Pantang, Abeuek Leungkap, Jugi Tapa, Putroe Neng, 99 Syuhada Geudong, Rimueng Mancang Kumbang.
